Lineage: A question of connection
In Usui Shiki Ryoho (the system of Reiki I practice and teach) the Spiritual Lineage and the master's the lineage (or line of teachers) is seen as important. The Spiritual Lineage are those masters who have each in their time been the figurehead for the system. Knowing the lineage is like knowing our family tree: it gives us a sense of connection to the source of this practice. The story of the Spiritual Lineage is told in First Degree Reiki classes.
