The Venue

Oak Barn is set in the beautiful Brown Clee Hills of South Shropshire (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). The Centre is set in over an acre of permaculture cottage gardens and forest gardens, ten acres of meadows with miles of beautiful walks with fabulous views. Oak Barn itself is homely and welcoming and the perfect setting to come and spend some time exploring simplicity.

'Obsidian wing of laughing crow'
All joined by touch and love
Knowing the value of what we share.

Barely known before, we grow together
And laugh and cry through
Rain, wind and summer sun,
Nestling here in outrageous beauty.

Written by Olwen about her experience of the first camp in 2008

What the 2009 campers thought:

"I enjoyed it all. I was hoping for a time of retreat and found just that.  There was a generous spaciousness in the way the programme worked, and with the flow of the group.  There was no one hilight, but perhaps an overall appreciation of sharing Reiki within such a wonderfully supportive group."

"Really looking forward to next year."

"I felt the whole place was a lovely and relaxing environment. The food was wonderful, as was the selection and it seemed everyone was catered for.  The reiki sessions were lovely as were the sharing circles.

The reiki sessions were lovely as were the sharing circles. The weekend was better than I expected as I was able to distance myself from the worries I had left behind in the city.

It was lovely to be with a group of people who were open, caring and giving to themselves as well as to others.

I would recommend the camp to any reiki practitioner who wishes to deepen their practice, and spend time in nature where you realise that we all are connected and flowing with the Universe. "

"The catering was beyond my expectation. Really good standard, even the music played during the meals was magnificent.  The range of people and the quality of the sharing was inspiring."
