Reiki Practitioner Development

Reiki Practitioner Development

For Reiki Practitioners who would like to develop their Reiki treatment practice, gain confidence and recognition as professional Reiki practitioners so that they can offer Reiki in professional settings.

If you enjoy giving Reiki treatments and want to share Reiki with more people

You may have...

  • Been giving Reiki to family and friends and now feel you would like to offer Reiki’s benefits to a wider circle
  • Learned Reiki recently and already know you want it to play an important part of your life, helping others

You may...

  • Feel you lack the confidence to take the next step and really 'go public'.
  • Know you have Reiki skills but feel unsure about what it takes to become a practitioner with the public.

Your goal might be to...

  • work as a Reiki practitioner in hospitals, hopices and other NHS healthcare settings, but you have found it difficult to know how to gain access to these areas
  • become a Reiki Registrant with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (see more about why registration could benefit you here) so that you have public recognition and employment opportunities, but you have found the necessary paperwork daunting or are unsure what standard you need to reach
  • be a successful self-employed practitioner but don’t know how to go about that

Whatever phase of your Reiki practice you are in, I am here to support you in  your development based on over 30 years of public and professional Reiki practice.

Verified Professional Reiki Practitioner Course

The Professional Reiki Practitioner Development Course, verified by Reiki Council, will enable you to be fast tracked as a verified practitioner once  you have completed the course and all the assignments.  This will enable you to join the CNHC Reiki register.

You need to have learned Reiki 1 before commencing this course (or start here) and will need to have completed Reiki 2 by the end.  Students from other Reiki masters are welcome to  join this course, although you may need to attend a 'refresher' for Reiki 1 and 2 (if you have already done both).

The course consists of 11 online sessions once a month.  To complete the course you will need to attend a weekend (Friday to Sunday) which takes place in person.  You will also have additional assignments to carry out in your own time.

This in depth education will help you develop your Reiki practice and gain the confidence and competence you need to be recognised as a professional Reiki practitioner.

Here's what one student thought

"Halfway through the course, I realised that actually what I was getting was a deeper understanding about my personal relationship to reiki. My aim was to do the course and to make money form reiki once the course was over. I wanted to know how to be a better marketer, how to ask for money and all of the other practical things I was struggling with. However, by connecting with reiki now on a daily basis, I see that doing the course has supported all of the other areas of my life that I was also trying to nourish and grow."

The Importance of Preparation

1st and 2nd degree Reiki courses give you a wonderful way to practice Reiki, but they are not designed to prepare you to be a public Reiki practitioner. Over recent years the UK Reiki community has set standards for those wishing to offer Reiki as a professional treatment and this course is based on those standards.

These standards are really guidance about what preparation is seen as necessary when you will be working with the public.  This preparation will include having done 1st and 2nd degree and having given Reiki treatments for at least 6 months.

The course takes place over at least 7 months and will include lots of Reiki treatments - both for others and for yourself.  So if you like the idea of doing lots of Reiki this could be a good sign that this is a path that would suit you.

Form of Reiki Practice

As a master who teaches and practices Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki, my teaching will be based on this Reiki form.  As there are many different ways of learning Reiki, please be aware that this may differ from the way you were taught.  There may be differences in hand positions and the philosophy about how Reiki works.  You are welcome to attend my course if you are happy to be flexible around these differences.  If you would like to discuss whether the course is suitable for you please contact me to arrange a chat.
