REIKI LINEAGE

A Reiki lineage is the line of teachers through whom the Reiki student is connected to the founder of this healing practice Mikao Usui.

Our Connection to the Founder

Each person in a lineage has taught the next one, passing the wisdom and experience of the practice down the line to the present-day student. In Reiki, this connection is given through the initiation as well as other teaching, giving each Reiki student a direct energetic connection to Usui’s teaching.

Spiritual Lineage

In Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki there is also a Spiritual Lineage – a line of teachers who each in their turn carry and steward the practice during their lifetime. This is a defining characteristic of this particular system of Reiki teaching and practice.

Johannes Reindl - the living Lineage Bearer

On 15th March 2019 Johannes Reindl was acknowledged by Phyllis Lei Furumoto as her successor in the Spiritual Lineage, witnessed by a group of Reiki masters gathered at her home.

He became the living Lineage Bearer on her death on 30th March 2019
