Second Degree Reiki Course
Description
Usui Shiki Ryoho 2nd Degree Reiki is a course for those who have already completed Usui Shiki Ryoho 1st Degree and wish to continue their Reiki path by delving deeper into the mystery of Reiki and gaining further tools to use in their practice. With 1st degree Reiki your hands are your tools, with 2nd degree Reiki you gain the extra tools of some sacred symbols that assist you in focusing the Reiki energy.
It offers a way to deepen our personal practice and also to develop our treatment of others, including being able to offer Reiki treatment at a distance. Practitioners wishing to become verified will need to have completed 2nd degree reiki as it is mandatory for professional practitioners.
Course overview
2nd Degree Reiki builds on the experience you have already gained through your 1st degree Reiki practice. This next step offers you new ways to explore the gift of Reiki.
The course takes place over 3 sessions, the first a few days before the second so that you have time to do some homework between the two sessions. This homework is to learn some sacred symbols, which have been passed down through the lineage of teachers from Mikao Usui to the present day. In Usui Shiki Ryoho these symbols are not kept written down, so you need to learn them by heart.
The second day of the course will include an initiation to empower you to use the symbols. You will then learn how to apply them in your hands-on practice.
On the third day you will learn and practice how to offer Reiki healing at a distance.
There will be a maximum of 6 new students in the class. Sometimes students wishing to revise 2nd degree will also present.
Course content includes
- Demonstration and practice of how to draw the sacred symbols
- One initiation during the 2nd session
- Demonstration and practice of using 2nd degree symbols in hands-on treatments
- Teaching and practice of how to use 2nd degree symbols for distant Reiki treatment
- Time for questions and responses
Learning 2nd Degree Reiki is for you if you would like:
- A deeper relationship with Reiki
- To be able to offer more those you give Reiki to by having all the tools in your toolbox
- The ability to give Reiki where your hands can't reach, such as to distant family and friends
- To be able to offer Reiki to situations, relationships, buildings and organisations
- A new way to receive guidance from Reiki in daily life
- A deeper spiritual connection with Reiki and yourself
To do this course you need to:
- Have learned 1st Degree Reiki in the Usui Shiki Ryhoho system of Reiki - please get in touch if you are unsure whether you have learned in the same system
- Have been practising Reiki on yourself, family and friends for a minimum of 6 months, preferably a year or more
- Feel an inner call to go further with your Reiki practice, to enhance your Reiki treatments and to understand more about how Reiki can support you and those you treat
Learning 2nd degree Reiki is about much more than being able to do Reiki at a distance!
Commitment
It is necessary to attend all three days of the course and to have time to do the homework of learning the symbols by heart.
There is a financial commitment of £330.00 teaching fee. If this amount is not currently available for you it may be an indication to wait.
The teaching fee is a once in a lifetime commitment that also enables you to review any future 2nd degree class at no further cost (although a contribution to expenses will be invited).
